I want to work on a remix project this summer called "Sega Songbook" but I'm not sure how to go about transcribing the songs I want to remix! Can someone please (preferably someone who has experience with remixing) tell me the absolute easiest method of transcribing? I'm tired of watching TV all day thanks in advance!

1. Find the time signature.
2. Find the key by listening for any repeating sharps or flats.
3. Find any reoccurring patterns in the song.
(by the way, write down all you find above)
4. Pull out a piano and start trying to match notes to the song.
5. Keep going and after a long while, you'll have something. To a trained musician's ear, this may take up to 3-6 days of work per song, depending on how long it takes, considering you have to map out each individual instrument.
