iTunes Feeds and 16-bit Soundtracks

Podcasts are back on iTunes and better quality 16-bit soundtracks are being added.

Hello everyone! We haven't been using this section of the website that often, but I think today's news justify a site update post.

I'm pleased to announce that the podcasts for all of our current shows are, once again, on the iTunes store. It took us a while to restore them, between communication with Apple's customer service and editing all the feeds. We're still not sure what happened as we didn't get a straight answer from them, but it's all working now, so you can get back to downloading.

As I said, all of our current shows are now available once again, and most of our past shows have their podcasts available on iTunes as well. The ones missing will be added in the near future.

Instead of presenting you with a long list of links, I advise you to head over to http://radiose.ga/shows and click the iTunes link below each show's description.

The second bit of news I bring you is regarding a slight update to our playlist. As you may have noticed in the past few weeks, we've been developing a great relationship with the guys from The 16-bit Audiophile Project. They are dedicated to produce high quality recordings of 16-bit games soundtracks, straight from the original hardware.

We have been and will be replacing some of our versions of 16-bit SEGA soundtracks with the superior versions recorded by the Audiophiles. We've also been adding some of the stuff they recorded that we didn't have on our database before.

For example, Rory/Roareye has recorded the OutRun mixtape that came with the Commodore 64 version of the game, which is, in itself, a little piece of SEGA musical history and a testament to how differently things were done in the past.

So we wanted to say a huge thank you to donluca and Roareye Black for their work and for letting us use their recordings. I'm sure you, our listeners, will enjoy the improved sound of some of these tracks as well.

That's it for now. Keep your ears on RadioSEGA for more exciting stuff coming in the near future!
