I just played this a few days ago, and if you were to give it to someone without telling them it's fan-made... they would probably never guess. The guys who worked on this did an amazing job.
It pretty much features the best things from all three games and even lets you customize the experience based on which SoR is your favorite. The music is also very well done which Yuzo Koshiro himself might even enjoy.
One thing I wish they had included was the ability to play online with a friend. Maybe they'll add it in a future update.

I've been addicted to this ever since I downloaded it. I've got a 360 with the latest games......but this is what I want to play.
Doesn't that say alot.......
A quality game in my opinion. Like the inclusion of things from the whole trilogy, they could've based it on just 2 or 3, but they went the extra mile.
There are problems with it, mainly the odd glitch. Most are harmless, but one of them is nasty. I call it the "Freeze Frame" glitch.
I don't know what sets it off, but basically your chara will freeze on the spot, invinicible, but can't move. The only way to get rid of it is to wait for a time up. Apparently. This doesn't work.
It can only be cured on 2 player, even then if both charas freeze, you're buggered.. On one player, you are stuck for good. You keep repeating the same final life over and over via time over.
2 player however, got to the end of stage 5ish and it happened to both of us.
GHEY.
Wow. That was a cool game. My hands are sooo sore now though just now. I played it all the way through. Lucky me, I only encountered two bugs I noticed. The first was on the first level... I played a "2 player" with the computer controlling the second player. Stupid guy wouldn't move down to progress in the level. Second was on the end game credits. As credits left the screen, sometimes the last line to leave the screen stayed (1 pixel of the last line of text).
They have unlock able content, secrets and multiple endings. I'm looking forward to playing this one with my brother come Christmas time.
Probably the one thing that had me shaking my head was their bad guy placement. I think I had to beatup that wrestler about 3-4 times in various parts of the game including his orignial stage. What's up with a wrestler on the beach? :)
Anyhow I'm pleased how they did seem to stay true to the original game series even with their innovations. It was kinda fun finally being able to ride the motor cycles. And what I'm probably most grateful for--they do not have shared continues. The computer was stupid at times and lost a lot of lives. I was on level 6 when the computer gamed over. Lucky me, when I needed to continue on level 7 I had all my own original continues still. ^_^
