And how many of those planets will have crap technology? That's the biggest problem I have with Star Ocean, it's not very Sci-Fi.

Oh god is that girl using a bow? It had better be a laser one...

I wonder how much before the first game it takes place, never really got far on that, only got to the bit where they travelled in time (because no other SNES RPG had done that). Be abit of a dick move if the game is gonna have references to the first game since not many people have played it.

Five different planets? Oh wow, that sounds like lots!

I'm not sold at the moment. I think I'd be better off sticking with Mass Effect, thank you very much. I can land on more than five different planets on Mass Effect ^_^

They are gonna be a hell of a lot better than Mass Effects bumpy wastelands.

But I bet like 4 of them are gonna be all Swords and Sorcery shit, with the last planet being some sort of Corasant (or however you spell it).

In fairness Rogue Galaxy wasn't much better, but yet it still felt a hell of alot more Sci-Fi than Star Ocean 3.

Bah, that just sounds boring. It still sounds like Mass Effect's a better choice, if you had a choice between the two.

Depends, I'll wait till I see the finished game but Mass Effect has alot of things going against it. It's wordy, loads all the time, the exploration thing is pretty damn boring with only a select few planets available to land on, if it's a plot planet then its boring to explore if it's not then it's even more boring to explore, the combat is rather naff (though in fairness I also expect this from SO4) and the RPG stat management is boring and pointless.
