This weeks game has been chosen by Skunk and it is Super dodgeball for the Neo geo.

Super Dodge Ball (くにおの熱血闘球伝説, Kunio no Nekketsu Dojjibōru Densetsu? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Japanese), "Kunio's Nekketsu Dodgeball Legends") for the Neo Geo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo_Geo) - Released in 1996 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_in_video_gaming). This was Technos Japan's final game (released after they went out of business) and was only given a limited distribution in the arcades. The game plays like a combination between the original Super Dodge Ball and a fighting game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighting_game), in which the main characters can perform special techniques by inputing Street Fighter II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_II)-style commands, including super moves. The game features seven playable characters, being the main characters from Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun (the Japanese version of Renegade).

It's one of my favourite games for the NeoGeo and overall! ^_^
Although it's very hard in the later stages, it's only more challenging. I love how every character has gotten their own special attacks.
The stages are very fittingly made, so is the music, which is not annoying at all, except the one from Miyuki (the amusement park one). The sounds and voices are also made very good. :3

It sounds a nice change from platform games, I'll be sure to try it out when I get home ;)

I never played this game before. I'll try it sometime.
The games of Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun series commonly are good games.

N...no reactions at all? Is it that bad? Or so hard to find? =(

Ok so I have two versions the American version which looks more like other technos games and the Japanese version where I have 3 a side and more detailed sprites... And is alot more fun.

Well thank god for that the other one was pretty awful... Anyway they were both NeoGeo games as far as I could tell.

4'ed it because it's a fun game with a rather interesting twist on dodgeball.

For all those who don't know which exactly, here a screenshot:

This is how it should look like.

Though the health bars should be swapped if you play it as good as me. :(

Well, when you just recently started it, it really looks like that. But after a few plays you'll get used to it. ^.^

No other remarks? :(

I love this game and was hoping to get some opinions on it...

Oh I honestly have no idea why I haven't been playing this, I enjoyed it the first time I just don't seem to feel like playing it much more. Might give it a whirl during the weekend.

Sorry but I couldn't even get the emulator to find the game and I tried and got peed off, I remember this happening before and it took me ages to figure it out.

You don't know how to use MAME? But... but how can you live without Metal Slug on your PC?

I'm using Neo RAGE as emulator. The ROM is fairly easy to find, but if anyone has trouble doing so, I could upload it and give it to the peeps via PM. =|

I had it on the PC ages ago, but now I have anthology and I have the original on Saturn. I know how to use MAME the asshole doesn't want to work though, I've got it pointing at the directory perfectly, I even put it right at the root of C:\ to make it easier and now i've just lost interest.

You don't have to use MAME, tho, you can also use a plain NeoGeo emulator... ¬_¬

I am using NeoRageX, or was before I lost my temper with it, and I don't particulary like crawling around emulator sites as they are a haven for malicious software.

I've started using WinKawaks now, seems to be abit better than MAME Plus, since it allows you to pause.

I gave it a 4. I like the colourful graphics and characters. Gameplay's fun enough too. Nothing that holds my interest for too long but OK for a quick blast. I've yet to try it with a friend though seems like it could be good on 2 player.

Looks like my choice didn't turn out to be popular T_T
