A somewhat forgotten mascot created by Konami, Rocket Knight Adventures starred Sparkster as you kicked pig butt and used your jet pack launcher to defeat a wide array of enemies. The difficulty is thought to be quite high, I for one have yet to beat this game. Anyone remember this gem? What were your favorite things about the game?

Excellent game for the Mega Drive! I spent many hours on this. But, in my opinion, the sequel (Sparkster) was far better.
Anyway, just the idea of a rodent as a knight is for the win! :P
This is the kind of series that sure deserved a sequel. I'd like to see a next-gen Sparkster!

I never really got into this game (or any of the other sparkster games). Probably due to the difficulty. But it beats alot of other action-platformers out there. The music was pretty nice though.

I love Rocket Knight Adventures, when I first played it when I was younger I sucked at it but in the last 2 years i've played it again and completed it, it's a great game! Love the rocket pack idea.

I haven't played Sparkster, but your suggestion just got me an idea haha.

I really loved this game when it came out. Went through it all back then but it was the only game I had at the time so I didn't have much choice except to go through it.

I would never forget the awesomeness that is Sparkster. It was too good for words. :D And original.

I don't recall playing Sparkster, but I definately have Rocket Knight Adventures, and thought it was awesome.

The comic strips that ran in the UK Sonic the Comic were quite good as well. Think they ran two strips, I'm not sure.

I knew of Rocket Knight Adventures when it first came out sadly I never got to play it, although I did play the second game Sparkster on the Mega Drive and I also remember the SNES got Sparkster as well alhough it was a totally different game to the MD version with different level designs and different baddies and of course better graphics. I never played the SNES version so I cant say what its like but I think its aweosme just like the MD version.

Back on RKA I only got around to playing it years later through an emulator and boy did I miss out such a fun little game although I like Sparkster better its still a wonderful game. I do hope Konami do a 3rd game but keep it in 2D so not to mess it up.

The SNES version is news to me. I'm going to go look it up.

Emulator's can never do a game justice unless you have a USB video game controller, and even then its not the same.
