So, this is the first of the two new Dreamcast games of 2007, has anyone ordered this or played it yet? I've ordered the Limited Edition from Seagagadomain, so I'll be waiting a week before it arrives here in the UK. Sadly got no first impressions then! I'll be sure to post them when it arrives.
Surely I'm not the only one here who's ordered it? If you haven't Genkivideogames.co.uk and Play Asia sell it!

How dare you doubt me. :P
Yes, in Japan the Dreamcast is still getting new games, it had two last year and has two this year.

Yeah, he's sure.
In Japan, they've been releasing a handful of games. (mostly SHUMPS)
Since the GD-ROMS are being discontinued, I can't see it lasting much longer... :(

Well, T.H.E has sold over 10,000 units on it's first day of release!
Infact, it's outselling Crackdown for the XBOX360 in Japan.
Not bad for a "dead" console, eh?
Hopefully SEGA will decide it's worth to keep GD-ROM production alive, the Dreamcast is 10 next year, I would love to see SEGA do something very special, perhaps the ultimate final game for the Dreamcast released on November 28th 2008, to mark ten years. Infact, that's an idea for another thread!
Anyway, T.H.E, someone other than me better get this!

Dang! You have to take into account, however, the fact that the only games that anyone plays in Japan for Xbox 360 are Blue Dragon, DOA4, and DOAXtreme2.
SHUMPS have a much broader audience in Japan than, say, a GTA clone with cel-shaded graphics.
But I'm not arguing, it really is impressive for a Dreamcast game

Well, for one thing, nobody in Japan really gives a damn for the X360 these days. The only games that they give a care for are DOA4, which isn't even that great really, DOAX2, which as always is crap, and the only game actually worth it, Blue Dragon. The Japanese have always loved Shumps, so they obviously see a lot of great titles on the Dreamcast in that category. You can't go wrong with games like Under Defeat, the Dreamcast's swan song, Trizeal, an old-school classic shooter, and all of the sort that have been coming out recently.
So, in the end, the Dreamcast has better recognition than even the mighty X360, thanks to the fact that the Japanese both respect their old systems and love the new Shumps.

My copy is sat at home right now, I can't wait to get back home and see what it's like. I'll post some impressions Sunday when I've had chance to get it played. :)
