Is $10 good for an official arcade stick? Is it compatible with all games? Right now the only game I'm definitely sure I'd work with (that I have) is Fighting Vipers.

I haven't used it personally but the price sounds about right. I think the Virtua Sticks are the ones to get for Saturn if you can find them. As for compatibility, and I'm not certain on this either, I'd be surprised if it didn't work with nearly all arcade games, and most other games wouldn't be suitable for it anyway.

I got it, and another Saturn (third party) controller. I need all I can get for Saturn Bomberman. :D

I recently acquired a Virtua Stick, actually, and while I don't remember the price, the stop clerk said that the Virtua Stick had been part of the original inventory for quite a long time.
It works perfectly, and I've already broken my shortest completion on Last Bronx, so it will definitely help in the fighting game spectrum, for me mainly.
Well, actually, it is possible to unscrew the ball-point topping the joystick itself, but that may just be a design feature. Maybe.

It's probably loose, all sticks have removeable tops and they are fastened by a screw at the base of the shaft. If you opened the back of the unit it would be an easy fix with a flat headed screwdriever, I imagine.

Because that is loose, and is the whole shaft loose?
Either way, thanks for the info. But, I must say, I can live with the looseness, as it only occurs if you shake the joystick too hard.

Nah, everything is fine apart from the ball top. I don't know which type of Virtua stick you are refering too though, so I could be wrong, but I've taken apart many an arcade stick in my time and if the stick is industry standard it is merely not screwed on tightly enough. Not a big problem at all.
If I remember properly, the standard for Saturn arcade sticks is that it's essentially just controller in a different configuration. Some arn't like that, but I believe the Saturn ones, generally were. Not fully certain.

Not a big problem at all.Mine seems to be the industry standard, so that won't be too wonky of a deal. It works perfectly aside from that niggle, and the set-up is just top notch. I guess the only competitors in the peripheral market with SEGA for arcade sticks and controllers are Hori and ASCII.
Overall, I got a fairly good deal, considering how long the store had kept it.
