Very nice.......

Now I yern for Photoshop. Yup. I'm the dweeb who doesn't have it.

"Coraxis the Hedgehog"? Did "Dr. Ivo Robotnik" have a name change? Sure makes the threads playing on the name seem goofy...

Yup. Changed me name to Coraxis so I matched my sheet. Awsome :).

Ah ha... I found the answer to my question in an edited post... Yup its a name change.

Yes. I had a name change. Dr. Ivo Robotnik was a little.....unoriginal. And besides, It'll look way better on a sprite sheet saying "Made by Coraxis". Plus.....hedgehogs are way better than obese professors.

Ah. So are we pulling another "Shadow" here with Coraxis? Good, evil or we decide?

Flying purple clowns are better than Hedgehogs, Obese Professors, and Darth Vader lions combined!

But apparently not Sega's first choice when it comes to making new games... :P

......I know, I think James Earl Jones' contributions to SEGA history are countless and innumerable.

At least the clown is only in good games! (I kinda-sorta liked Sonic Riders. He wasn't in SONIC or Sonic Heroes, or Shadow th.......aww......:()

Coraxis is neutral. He is a good person, but he has an evil look and attitude.

In fact. Here's a little story:

Long ago, an ancient tribe used to roam the land. The tribe prospered and flourished over time. Eventually, war broke out among the people of this tribe. They wanted more. More of everything.

In fact, the people of the tribe wanted so much more, they were willing to do anything for it...

So, the strongest part of the separated peoples tried to awaken a great power known as Coraxis. But, little did the people know of how uncontrollable Coraxis was. Coraxis overthrew its masters, and masacared many of the people of the tribe.

To deal with this monster, the tribes Sages sacraficed themselves to provide a seal for the beast. This seal calmed and restored light and peace to the creature, and turned to stone. The tribe had learned from it's mistake, and once again peace spread among the land.

Years later, an archiological dig unearthed this stone. Unable to determine what it meant, it was sent to the G.U.N. Agency to be dechipered. After prolonged hours of research, the ancient writing on the statue was decoded. Upon reading this inscription, the statue cracked to reveal what was though to be another chaos emerald, but very dark in color and illuminated with evil. A green radiance was discovered at the core of this jem, and G.U.N. scientists extracted it.

The green radiance turned out to contain an incomplete DNA sequence. This baffled the scientists, and they began more research to try to clone whatever it was. Unable to complete the DNA sequence, the scientists turned to a compatable replacement....which turned out to be Sonic. Sonic was called into the G.U.N. research facility to have a small amount of DNA extracted.

As the cloning continued, the shape of a being formed. This being resembled Sonic due to the DNA he donated, but was different in many ways. Energy levels were off the charts, and he seemed to glow with a strange arura.

A week after being completed, more writing was deciphered, and the hedgehog was found to be once called Coraxis. The night that the G.U.N. was to finally awaken Coraxis, an unknown intruder broke into the G.U.N. Laboratories and stole him. This unknown violator was described as a shadow, but later disappeared after G.U.N. tracked and seemingly destroyed it. That was when he awakened.

Upon his awakening, Coraxis only knew his name. For some reason, he also knew he was special, and not meant to be. He eventually ran away from G.U.N., though they did not track and recapture him, to find his true purpose.

He also noticed his strange power. Whenever he became enraged enough, his changed. He turned a very dark purple, almost as if he were pure darkness, and became very powerful. He only knew that this power came from deep inside of him. He did not know from where, though. It was very hard to control.

Due to this, he always kept his cool. He tried not to get angery. He still tries. In fact, he only ponders about who, and what, he is.

Unbeknownst to him, if he learns to control the darkness inside of him, he can also control the light.

Yeah that sounded relevant. Just because I pick Mufasa as my online screen name, doesn't mean I picked it for a video game purpose. I guess you'd be dogging on my own contributions to Sega history if I had used my real name as my nick.

Uh......no. I was just poking fun at James Earl Jones. You know, because he voiced Mufasa? Yeah. Btw, I did enjoy that movie. Not as much as The Nightmare Before Christmas, though...

Yeah. You're pretty obsessive-compulsive about that NiBeCh stuff, NiGHTS .

Yeah. Wouldn't want a Flamming War! :)

Anywho,

Coraxis tries to be a good person. But if someone manages to piss him off bad enough...well.....let's just say they become nonesistant.

I think it was clear that the only possible reason for you to bring up James Earl Jones was to specifically target me. He has no relevance to whether Sega makes games using certain Sega characters or not.

No, you were referring to my name, so I was referring to your name. James Earl Jones makes me laugh. It wasn't intended to be a personal attack, just a lighthearted jab at your screen name. But you're right, we need to get back on topic.

But you're right, we need to get back on topic.

So Coraxis, how did you get your name changed? You had to ask SegaMark? I was looking for an option to do it, but couldn't find one.

Dr. Ivo Robotnik
07-03-2007, 02:48
Yes. I asked SegaMark. And he politely complied to my request. :)

Yeah. There should be a button to do that in the "your CPU". Most sites do and they have a day limit to when you can change again. One site I was a member to gave a 90 day limit until you canchange your name again.

But, on the other hand, it gets annoying when members constantly change their names. That's why I asked Mark early. And the fact that won't change my name ever again.

Well I for one prefer Coraxis. :) Robotnik/Eggman already comes with a bad rep so it's not exactly a favorable choice.

True. Very true.

I just finished an Updated Version of my Coraxis Sprite Sheet.

Yeah, I prefer Coraxis tenfold. Can't wait to see that sprite sheet!

I'm trying to upload it.....in fact....it may take awhile......check the spriting topic every now and then to see if I edited it in on the last post.

I totally tried to make a NiGHTS the Hedgehog sheet, but I got bored. :P

Dr. Ivo Robotnik

Yeah. I made you that Nights the flying squirrel. You should stick with him.

Oh, and those Ray Sprites weren't that hard to find. :P

This uploading is a pain on dial up.

Yeah, I tried to use one, but it's not a supported image file. I'll have to get a converter tomorrow.

I have a hosting service. It's just that the uploading takes so long!
