View Full Version : Shenmue...on the Sega Saturn? O_O
Yeah, you might not believe it, but the original Shenmue was due to come out on the Sega Saturn. But due to real facts, the game was moved to the DC because it was really on the Saturn's deadline.
Here's a video, since I don't have any more info:

And those 32-bit graphics of Shenmue look awesome, for me.
Can't be bothered to watch that, is it the same video that was on Shenmue?
I remember seeing this years ago, i think its a pretty good showcase for what the Saturn could do.

It looks pretty cool on Saturn. Is it just me, or does it give Ryo a younger feel? I wonder how much they spent on this version before going to more powerful/beautiful Dreamcast...
Even though I have it on DC, I'd still like a Saturn version. lol
This is pretty old, but every time I see it I get a bit impressed over the looks of this. Too bad the saturn never got to deliver anything of this calibre.

It has one of the most advanced graphics for Sega Saturn and it looks pretty cool! Sega Saturn might live longer if released for the Saturn! I saw this video a few years back but it is still awesome!

I remember reading about this. It was originally supposed to be Virtua Fighter RPG with the main character as Akira.

Yeah exactly right. There's quite a bit of info about this on various sites. Been known about for years.
