What are your favorite sports games? Honestly, I'm not all that into sports or sports games for that matter, but there are some really good ones that stand out like in football, or wrestling, or racing, etc. You can list by each sport which games you like best. Now let's see...

Well Wii sports wins automatically in most categories and maybe even Super Monkey Ball's mini games, but I'll put that aside...

Football--NFL2K for the dreamcast (like the only football game I ever played and one I enjoyed because I liked to turn off the rules and tackle other players for no good reason)
Basketball--NBA Jam and Looney Tunes B-Ball for the snes (classic dribblin', slam-dunkin' fun)
Baseball--World Series Baseball by sega, Hardball '94 for windows dos (earliest baseball game I can remember playing)
Boxing(not fighting)--Ready 2 Rumble Boxing round 1 + 2 for dreamcast
Table Tennis--Pong for atari of course! (what else?)
Volleyball--Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball for xbox (don't judge me) and Klonoa Beach Volleyball for ps1
Tennis--Virtua Tennis 1 + 2 for dreamcast (would like to try the sonic and mario ones though)
Golf--Albatross 18 online, Tee Off for the dreamcast, Links for windows
Fishing--Sega Bass Fishing and Sega Marine Fishing for dreamcast
Biking--Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX for dreamcast
Skateboarding--Tony Hawk series
Snowboarding--Cool Boarders series
Racing(this could almost be the whole thread)--Road Rash for windows pc (damn it was fun hitting people), Motocross Madness, Monster Truck Madness, & Midtown Madnes for pc (fun driving into stuff), Hydro Thunder for dreamcast (best boat action ever), Wave Race 64 for n64 (duh), Wipeout for ps1, Burnout series for xbox (who doesn't like crashing cars?), F-Zero series, Mario Kart series, OutRun series, Sonic Riders for gamecube, Daytona USA for pc, Sega Rally Championship for pc, Sonic R for pc, Cruisin' series for arcade, and etc etc (there's so many good games!)

Add in any other sport you can think of, even the olympics or whatever.

I like loads of racers, MSR, Gran turismo etc. Fight night round 3 is a great one to play with mates. ssx and cool boarders. Not too into my footy one's but that's more because there my gaming handicap. No matter how hard I try I just can't, not suck at them.

Everything being a spin-off from bigger series (mainly Mario).
For racers, practically every futuristic racer I can orgasm over (F-Zero, Extreme G, WipeOut, Kinetica, AeroGauge, ...) - and of course spin-offs. Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is one of my favourite racing games. ^_^

The best football game for me is probably Virtua Striker 2, I am a fan of more realistic 'simulations' too, like Pro Evo (even though they're more simulations of watching a game on T.V. now than the actual sport), but there is something about the abstract, old school gameplay in the Virtua games that has stood the test of time for me.

I liked 1080 snowboarding, Winter Heat, the 3D Track and Field games and Neo Geo Cup '98 amongst other things too.

Let's see...
Mario Kart and M:SR are probably my favourite racers and I haven't tried Sonic Riders yet. Why? Don't really know but I'll get it eventually.
As for footballers, the Pro Evo series and Mario Strikers Charged.
The Virtua Tennis series are also great and Daytona in the arcades is awesome with friends and alone.

My favorite sport is the Paintball Sport, 'Cause I was always into stealth games like SOCCOM and Paintball makes me feel like that.

And Skateboarding, I just love the air in my hair(Heh I rhymed) and the sped the exhilerating speed. And I wish that I knew how to Surf, 'cause I love the Beach so a sport at the beach other than BeachBall/Volleyball would be great, I wonder if Sand Castles are a sport.... I see people holding contest to build sand castles, and its a hobby so I guess its a sport?

Oh yeah! Albatross 18, I used to play that online. (updated list)
I also remember the commentators saying "he's on fire!" and other stuff in NBA Jam too. Classic fun.

Somehow I forgot to add fishing to my list. Sega Bass Fishing and Sega Marine Fishing for Dreamcast were best. I love how it's simulation with an arcade feel.

I'm also going to add the Cruisin' series to my list of racing games since I liked playing it in the arcade and running into other cars.

Also, I got my Saturn working, and I tried out World Series Baseball. I like it. Is the music of this series or any sega sports game on here on radiosega?
