March 2006, when RadioSEGA first went live. It was pretty simple back then, it all began when I was cocking about with Shoutcast and Winamp, I had around 100 Sega songs on my PC and streamed them for a few mates on MSN Messenger.
A week or so later I thought, this is pretty cool, I'll add links to this stream on MySEGA.co.uk (a site I no longer update sadly), the service was known as MySEGA Radio. A week or so later, RadioSEGA was born.
First broadcasting publicly RadioSEGA had 5 slots, all at a whopping 32k! The stream was live for around 12 hours per day, I kept adding more music and the playlist soon grew to around 300-400 tracks. People thought it was such a brilliant idea, and RadioSEGA had an awesome Jet Set Radio theme on the site.
RadioSEGA in April, or May (it's been a long time!) went 24 hours, and I invested in 15 slots of Shoutcast hosting, I increased the bit rate to 64k, and soon after 80k.
A new Samba De Amigo style theme was launched around the time of Sonic's 15th Anniversary and the first Summer of Sonic. Dreadknux and I interviewed the legend that is Richard Jacques on RadioSEGA, in conjunction with SegaSonic Radio, which was nice!
RadioSEGA grew and grew, but sadly the site was offline for around 3 months due to personal circumstances, but made a full return with an all new requests system in November 2006, and has grown to what you see here today.
There's loads to come in the future, some huge developments that you will love, sadly they won't be here this month, but keep an eye out for future updates. Trust me, these will be special, and the staff know what's to come. ;)
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped, the Playlist Managers, Moderators and those who have helped out over the years by spreading the word about RadioSEGA, supporting the site with donations and joining our community.
Here's to three years, and many more to come.

P.S. I leave you with a little article from GamesTM, published back in April of 2006. Sadly I don't have any of the old sites backed up, I wish I did so I could show you all how the site has evolved!
