View Full Version : The Mega Drive Reborn?!
Apparently so, looking at the front page of Play.com it's listed as the hot product.
Being released soon it has a bunch of games built in as well as the ability to play original carts.

Astounding indeed
It's region free as well, so it'll play Genesis carts as well as European MD ones.
Pretty awesome if I do say so myself, though I'll doubt I'll buy one. I'll save my money for a Sega Nomad.

I think it's an astounding idea! It'll certainly boost the Ebay market for MD carts
We may even see some re-releases of older titles :)
I don't see myself buying one though, not when I have the collection on PS3 -_-
Does look pretty good and the fact that its multi region is good but the one down side i can see with it is that it wont work with the Mega CD or 32X.

£40! I could use another Mega Drive since my last one turned up dead on arrival but am not yet that desperate to throw my money at Sega.
32X.
Always worth a go. The 32X was an add-on for the cartridge slot, wasn't it? If you've got one lying about, it's always worth just seeing whether it'll work or not.

Yeah but you also have to plug the thing into different slots on the back of the MD as well to get the thing to work.
It's essentially the handheld Mega Drive but...err....not handheld :) a killer idea but it should really have had a £30 price point. With ROMS and collections I can't see many people buying into one.
