View Full Version : Make your own Achievements

mudokon100
29-04-2009, 17:49
Simple: Pick a game, one you know really well - make up achievements for if it were a 360 game!
Limits: Max of 50 achievements, points must add up to 1000 and reflect the difficulty of the achievement. Mark it with an (S) if it would be a secret (for example, because it gives the storyline away), although write here what it would be.
Just a little fun to see how creative peeps can be!
THIS THREAD WILL HAVE SPOILERS! BE WARNED!

Game: FF9. Ordered in Story, Passive (achieved throughout the story without extra effort normally), Side Quest, and Unique.

What's wrong with this thread exactly?

Don't tell me we're turning into the SSMB, =/

Fine, I'll open it but can't see it getting very far.

I've seen it done so many times on the Xbox Forums I've sort of lost interest :P and it's usually for humour

Achievement unlocked
30G - The Sneaky Bugger
(Sucessfully access RadioSega whilst at work)

Perhaps my instructions were a little demanding. It's mostly to see what people consider to be "achievement-worthy" in older games, but some RL examples could be amusing too.
I've even seen a shirt with "Achievement Unlocked - Went Outside". I want to get it.

The Lion King (Mega Drive)

King of Swing - 10G
-Swing with the monkeys without falling in the river

Oh lol, yeah that was one of the hardest things to do ever. I had it on PC, got on my nerves so much.

Its Not Off Yet? - 100G
-Have the patience to ACTUALLY PLAY E.T. the Atari Game for more than 20 minutes.

sonicfanRICH

I hardly have the patience to play any atari game for more than 10 minutes...

Killer French Bread
04-05-2009, 11:26
I'd rather play E.T for 20 minutes than a lot of 360 games released these days, at least I'd get to play something; I had a go on the new Banjo Kazzooie the other week, what an insufferable game, and I never actually found out what it was like as I gave up before the end of the gruelling and fairly needless tutorial.

You should try Eternal Sonata then ^^
I'm amazed that doesn't have
"Achievement Unlocked - Will of Steel - 50g - Did not commit suicide before the intro film had finished."

XD even worse is that when you finally get to a dungeon it's even more boring than the bloody cutscenes!!

Gotta agree with the new Banjo, took about an hour before I was finally allowed to play and only then find out how royally it sucks. No matter how nice or funny a game is, if the core gameplay is broken it's a fail.

Now that is a good list. Knew this thread would get some creativity going ^^
now I want to make another... anyone got any ideas? Maybe Gunstar Heroes, seen as I know that inside out?

Gavvie
04-05-2009, 21:05
I wouldn't bother with Gunstar Heroes to be honest, because it's already going to be an XBLA title at some point in the future. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/gunstar-heroes/achievements/[/B]]Here's ([B) proof if you're wanting some.

The Resident Evil ones don't reference the terrible dialog enough.

Why would you make a list for Bubsy?

wow this thread is just funny, from the idea to the mods fighting and closing and re opening it xD

But I have to say I thought it was a cool idea too

I think a game that needs to be Achievement-D would be Rayman the original, hard, yet simple.

Maybe I'll come back with another post with the Gamerscore

Hey, I think this is a fun idea! :D

Umm, okay. I think I'll start with... Hmm... Heh, what else, come to think of it: Phantasy Star IV. Oh, but don't expect me to come up with stuff just to make 1,000. :nono:

40 - Protect and Serve: Complete EVERY job at the Hunter's Guild. Harder than it sounds, as one of them is only available for a certain time during the game.

30 - Master of Monsters: Make an INFANTWORM turn into a SANDWORM, then kill it. Watch out for EARTHQUAKE; it hurts.

100 - Feel the Power: Discover and use all 14 combo attacks. Even I haven't got THIS one. XD

20 - Old, Old Friend: Obtain Rika's secret weapon, the Silver Tusk, from... Well, let's just say he's a familiar face to Phantasy Star nuts like myself. ;)

30 - Sonic Boom: Find Demi's secret "add-on" ability, Phononomezer.

50 - Mad Scientist: Find all THREE of Wren's secret "add-on" abilities: Hyper-Jammer, Burst Roc (say wut?), and Positron Bolt.

10 - Rid the World of Evil: Kill Lashiec. Seriously, not only is this guy a totally annoying badass - having refused to die after the FIRST Phantasy Star - but he's also about fifteen feet tall now, and a TOTAL B*TCH to kill.

15 - Backseat Driver: Unearth all three vehicles: the Land Rover, Ice Digger, and Hydrofoil (which really shoulda been called the Hovercraft). Kinda part of the game's storyline, but yeah.

5 - Pao-Pao!: See, for the first time, the Hunter's Guild's actually animated, 16-pixel-high girly show. Yeah.

10 - PSIVDJ: Unlock and listen to the in-game Soundtrack Player, PSIV's Easter Egg for winning the game.

310 points... Hmm, more than I expected. Heh. This is really kinda fun! :D

Obviously this was the conclusion;
