I want to buy some albums off the iStore but I have no idea how. I know how to bring up the album and it's track list if there is a link to it on a site but I have no idea how to navigate around the main store to buy the album.
Also, what format do you get your songs in?
I think you need an iTunes account. Maybe from there the buy icon would appear.
If you manage to buy an album all the songs would be in .m4a format

If you manage to buy an album all the songs would be in .m4a formatI think they're actually in m4p format. They're both the same, but m4p has a copyright protection thingamajig on it (you can't convert it, I've tried).
Here are some steps to take:
1. Setup an account (if you haven't already) an valid credit card (unless you're using a gift card, then just redeem it).
2. Search song title / album title / artist in the iTunes store.
3. Navigate through the results at the bottom or select an artist or album in the top panels.
4. If buying a song, click the "Buy Now" button next to the song. If buying an album, click the "Buy Album" button next to the album.

Hope this helps.

I've bought off there and converted them to MP3 already, so I know it's easily do-able now. iTunes just take ages to get new stuff on there.

Just want to learn the method. Also, iTunes does take a while to update their catalog. They need to add more Jap songs IMO.

You could just browse the Japanese version of eye-tunes.

Which is the one I signed up with >_<.
iTunes has a "Create MP3 Version" under Advanced menu.
If it says something other than MP3 there, go to Preferences and Import Settings.

Another step to add to that list is that you have to download iTunes. I thought it was just a website you went to online and could download songs from there(like Amazon), but I was disappointed.
I don't want to download a huge program just to legally download one or two songs. @.@
Out of curiousity, does iTunes carry any gaming/movie albums/soundtracks?

You could just browse the Japanese version of eye-tunes.The problem is that I need to create an account for the Jap version of the store. Alongside, I need a proper credit card or other form of payment which works with yen (which I don't have :().
If I could, I would be all over it.

1. The Japan stores has Game OSTs and the US one has movie OSTs.
2. If you buy a iTunes card from J-List or someplace you can buy from the Japan store.
I need to find a place to get a card that's bigger than 3000 Yen though.

BUMP with question.
How do you get around the copy protection crap? I don't want this album in AAC.

You don't. At least as far as I'm aware anyway.

Then I'll try and find a way. Else I just wasted money =/

Anything on the iTunes store shouldn't be content protected now anyway, as DRM has been removed.
AAC is so much better than MP3 anyway.
Seriously?
I pirate music or buy from Amazon because iTunes charge too much for music and then don't let me do a bloody thing with it :P might go look again

Anything with a plus next to the price is iTunes Plus... It has NO DRM and the bit-rate is 256kbps, compared to the old 128k stuff.

iTunes will also convert all your non-plus music (DRM protected) into iTunes Plus for $0.30 USD/song. I would do it, but I don't want to spend $30 right now.

I found a program to remove the copy protection.
Some companies copy protect their stuff on the Japan store. I bought Anime M@ster which is the album in question.
I usually buy Quake stuff from it as the tracks are extended while they are cut down and mixed on the CD's.
It was in 128k as well, odd.

Old DRM protected stuff is 128k
Only iTunes Plus is 256k
I wonder if the stuff I bought from iTunes is DRM protected, can't remember seeing pluses next to them.
Ah well, I'm not too fussed, I'm only putting them on my iPod. Do need to burn the two Graveyard BBQ albums I bought though, so I can re-rip them and get them into my WMP playlist.

Well, if the CD's weren't mixed I wouldn't need iTunes. It's the only Japan music store like this I can use.

I'm not too fussed when it comes to Graveyard BBQ to be honest. I've wanted them on CD for a while anyways, and this is probably gonna work out cheaper than importing them.

I'm gonna use a CD-RW so it won't be a waste. We got loads kicking around here.
EDIT: It keeps saying my CD burner is in use already O.o
