According to TSSZ, Sonic's official YouTube channel has Sonic Mega Collection 3 listed for a 2010 release across the Wii, the 360, and PS2 n' 3.

What's left though?

I suppose Chaotix or even Saturn 3D Blast, which are both long shots, but...huh. I wonder if it would include anything post 1998?

PS2 in 2010? Even if it's true then I didn't think the old girl had it in her anymore...

I reckon it would be a collection of all the Megadrive games, Saturn games and Master System games. The DC games are more likely to appear on PSN or Live Arcade if you ask me.

Edit: I should have made it clear that I mean all of Sonic's MD, Saturn and MS games.

I would like to see this Youtube page you are talking about. It's ok to post it here. I just need to determine the validity for myself.

Highly unlikely, in terms of emulation the Saturn is one of the most difficult home systems in history :P I remember reading an interview with the developers of the current sega collection, they basically said it wasn't worth it. The Saturn didn't have many classic games and the graphics just don't hold up as well as the Genesis 2D does.

There are still more MD games to play...Outrun was missing from this collection v_v erm...well, who knows? Sounds interesting though

Rayne, we're not on about an Ultimate MD Collection 2, but a third game in the Sonic Mega Collection series.

To be quite honest, I wasn't aware there was a Mega Collection 2, unless that's what Gems Collection was.

I think it was. I've also seen a "Mega Collection +" but I just think that's the PC version of the original one.

Yeah, Mega Collection Plus was the PS2, PC and Xbox version of the Gamecube original, with some added bonus games, which were the ones in Sonic Adventure DX, if I remember rightly.

Yeah, that's what it pretty much was.

I know that Gavvi but the fact they've already covered just about every 16 bit sonic game out there made me think they might add other series, it didn't stop them with Ristar.

If it's just Sonic I'll pass, I already own just about every bloody game on some format or another :P

Sonic CD with remixed FMVs and original Japanese soundtrack?
Sonic 3D Blast Saturn 32 bit version?
NiGHTS Saturn?
Daytona USA?
Burning Rangers?

If it has any of the last 3 I mentioned, it's a must-buy.

(what public is sega targeting for anyways?)

Mega Collection Plus was dubbed number 2 by some.

That would be incredibly odd. That's like saying Super Street Fighter 2 is Street Fighter III. If any game should be considered Sonic Mega Collection 2, it should be Sonic Gems Collection.

I didn't though, I saw Gems as number 2.
So this new one would have to be called Sonic Emerald Collection, eh?

I asked SEGA over on Twitter, and they've confirmed that the YouTube account in question isn't theirs. So, I've asked them if Sonic Mega Collection 3 is truth, or whether it's been made up.

I'll let you know soon as they get back to me.
