Dreamcast Junkyard Named By British Library To Be Preserved For History

The Dreamcast-centered blog is in the top 100 list of websites to be preserved.

Fellow member of the SEGA Network of websites, The Dreamcast Junkyard, is part of a list, put together by the British Library, of the top 100 sites on the web that should be preserved for cultural history.

The purpose of this is to store information published online in the UK that can help future generations tell the story of past events. British Library representatives state that the phisically published content on its own will not be enough to tell the story of what's happening in our time.

Among the select few (100) websites to be preserved are eBay, Facebook, Twitter and... The Dreamcast Junkyard! Interesting to see a fellow SEGA fan site getting this kind of attention.

Thanks to Retrix on Twitter, for sharing the BBC News article on the subject.
