Just tried it, overall it's an excellent system. Yet it's missing something, and I can't put my finger on it. I'll keep playing around with it and see how much I can do as well as see how hard it is to crash it under different circumstances. I'm actually liking the feel of MATE on Mint as well, pret...

That's a little weird that CCleaner of all programs messed up your system, considering how it will only cleanup things that won't mess things up (ex. the registry cleaner only cleans the part of the registry for the specific user account it's run on) but I have seen programs mess up before ( 0 gets ...

First of all, it consumes only 30MB of memory, and you just click the normal firefox shortcut! After all it's your choice! If you do the other things suggested, it will load pages faster (without the preloader) I have completely different settings for each system in the house,(family system is set ...

I don't know how long ago you have used Firefox, but the most memory that version 13 has used was around 200mb of the virtual memory and about 100mb of physical memory. Firefox is split into two processes, firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe also flash runs in it's own process as well, (for my syst...

There's also a firefox preloader to make it start fast like chrome ( link ) Screw all preloaders to heck, I'd much rather wait a little bit longer for any program to start up than have it waste memory that could otherwise be used for something else. That is the one reason I don't like Google's crap...

The reason I use Firefox is because of the expandability, the capability of switching between a minimalistic browser or an all out every option in front of you type deal. I gave every browser a tryout of one month each and so far nothing has changed my mind (I like chrome somewhat because of the bu...

I started to torrent my games after companies stopped making demos of their games, I have had several occasions where I spent 50 some dollars on a game just to realize it sucked and only to have the game store tell me they'll give me half the money back, never again!! I have bought every game that I...

Alright, well when I first started listening, I absolutely loved it, so here's hoping for things to be running by the end of the year, I'll keep checking in, cause I'd absolutely HATE to see a project this good die, I'm not a programmer (I hate math) nor do I have very much money to donate (though I...
