In the USA version of Sonic CD - Sega had hoped to bring continuity between the American cartoon, comic books and video games. The hope was that they could easily change Amy in to Princess Sally Acorn (who was featured in the comics and cartoon). The manual that came with the USA version of Sonic CD...

Sadly if one of their IPs doesn't help sell t-shirts and other licensed toys and products then Sega rarely sees the benefit to them outside of Japan. Because Sonic has done so well it actually hurts the rest of their franchises and games. I was walking through my local supermarket the other day and ...

Yeah, it's one of the linchpins of SEGA's "Too good for you filthy Westerners" club (along with Yakuza, and Phantasy Star) I can at least see why Yakuza is a hard sell for them outside of Japan. The units they sell are about the same as a western xbox game posts in Japan (with a lot less ...

I would recommend the topic of What franchises of Sega would be perfect for them to allow Atlus to use, or maybe your opinion would be that Tsurumi was wrong when he said, "I have no intention of forcing them, but if they were able to do something with any dormant Sega IP, I'd love to let them ...

Well, Valkyria Chronicles 3 didn't make it outside of Japan, so... Yeah, don't hold your breath. :( I think it was a bad choice to not bring VC 3 worldwide after VC 2 did quite well in sales outside of Japan. I think the biggest issue was that the PSP was practically dead at retail in most places o...

Is Sega not developing Valkyria Chronicles 4? I know that is a Tactical RPG, but I would assume we would see that released worldwide. I sure hope your post is not true....

How so? Top 40 Dreamcast game soundtracks? That could work. And I'd play snipets of some of the game's tracks. That might be a lot of work to drudge up 40 different Dreamcast albums unless you included non-Sega tracks, it could always just be 40 tracks that came from Sega developed Dreamcast games....

Thanks for all the hard work you put in to providing the top 40 shows!

I would love to see a Dreamcast themed show.

Sega is forming a new analytical team based out of San Francisco. Looks like one of the key things they will be analyzing is online data from their games. I know recently they have had to tweak some of their releases (Sonic Lost World). Some analytical studies of their games could find what users ar...

Sorry to respond to a thread that is so old, but sometimes this is as easy as a fix as getting a lens cleaner for the dreamcast. Worst case scenario this could be the start of the laser not being calibrated properly any longer, or one of the two motors dying out. I would try the lens cleaner first a...
