Lotta long discussions going on here. o.o
Personally I loved Generations, I hadn't touched any of the Sonics from Heroes onwards because I just didn't know what to expect from them; But I thought Generations, for what is was, was brilliant, a great way to express appreciation to old and new players alike!

And frankly, I just outright enjoyed every minute of playing it, even if the cinematics were a bit cheesey, but what can you expect from an almost toon-style game? x3

Haven't gotten a chance to play Generations yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. As for the story, it seems reminiscent of the older games. Not that much story to supplement the gameplay. The last console title (non-download) that was like that was Sonic Heroes (minus Team Dark).

Really? A more truthful statement would be "Not as many bad things about it as usual".

Hahaha yeah pretty much that, but overall it's enjoyable to play.

Honestly, you can say that about a LOT of longtime franchises, such as Madden NFL and Mortal Kombat. And by the looks of the things, MK seems to have better recent titles than Madden. But those are just examples.

Yep. Sonic too. Hence why I corrected you.
