Post by RWDebara »

Surprised that no one talked about this game yet. Been getting alot of attention everywhere. Sure most of you seen the game already.

(I was going to put the trailer in but some might find it too "violent" i guess :I So heres the link. 18+)

Dead Island 18+

Features

- first-person melee combat
- 4 player co-op
- weapon customization
- set on an open world tropical island
- RPG elements for character development
- hordes of gruesome zombies

Welcome to the Island of Banoi!

The player is drawn into the world of Dead Island on the brink of a mysterious epidemic that suddenly, and without warning, breaks out on the fictional island of Banoi. As a guest of the Royal Palms Resort, the player's stay was supposed to be a dream holiday; a luxurious getaway to the beautiful beaches of a tropical paradise. But faced with the reality of a zombie apocalypse, there is only one thing left to do: Survive.

This is Dead Island... a paradise to die for.

Open world, first person, and an rpg.
Sounds like a mix of Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising.

What do you guys think?

I'm pretty hyped for this game. The trailer was pretty good (amazing even) but they did the whole CGI no gameplay thing. Plus I have some stupid obsession with murdering zombies

Yeah i'll be keeping an eye on this. And that trailer was one of the best things i'd seen in ages when I first watched it. Gameplay looks good too though.

Trailer was a bit up its self but I started being interested when they talked about gameplay. Sounds like a lot of fun, shame it's the dudes that did the Call of Juarez games.

Meh... not a big fan of Zombie games. Only zombie games I every finished was HotD 3 and 4 on the arcade.
And FPS/RPG? Sounds like something like BORDERLANDS! FTW! I might like it after all.

And I like their slogan: "A paradise to Die for" Sounds EVIL... WHAHAHAHHA!

I am curious, but not a big fan of FPS, so it will take a while for me to play it.
Go ahead, make my day.

They said its rare to find guns, your mostly using melee weapons and you can customize them (Guess like in Dead Rising 2)

I really liked the trailer, it was quite poetic, for a game trailer. The game features also sound really interesting. I'm not a big fan of zombie games either, they get pretty boring after a while, but I did enjoy Left 4 Dead. This was mostly because of the co-op rather than the action though, so if Dead Island played quite similar, then yeah, I can see it being a lot of fun.

It certainly sounds like a more open version of Left 4 Dead though.

It basically sounds like Left 4 Dead meets Borderlands with a bit of Condemned.
