Default Castlevania: Mirror of Fate - 2013

According to the latest rumours and the fact that Konami recently acquired the corresponding domain names, a newCastlevania game, subtitled Mirror of Fate is coming out somewhere in 2013.

Mirror of Fate supposedly features 2D gameplay similar to what was produced on the NDS. However, this time Mercury Steam (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Clive Barker's Jericho) is making the game rather than Konami. Konami will still be publishing.
It seems that Konami will be announcing Castlevania: Mirror of Fate, as a new 3DS title, at this year’s E3. The news apparently comes from the company’s appointment schedule for the event.
Gameplay information is not yet available. However, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow producer David Cox and director/writer Enric Álvarez are supposedly working on Mirror of Fate too. The game is also rumoured to be heading to 360 and PS3.

News of a sequel to Lords of Shadow is also beginning to stir.

    Stay tuned for more news!

If it's Castlevania, and it's 2D, let me at it.
Have you heard my remake of Spring Yard Zone? No? Check it out here: http://soundcloud.com/wrathoskvro/spring-yard-remake

I wonder if this will be 2.5D or proper 2D. Most importantly I wonder if they'll manage to have a good, stable framerate.

It seems a bit odd they're going for the Metroidvania style considering Cox's love of Castlevania IV.

If this is in strcit 2D then I'll pass, the 3DS isn't made for games like that, in my opinion.
