So a few days ago, it has been confirmed that there will be a new Daytona USA arcade game called "Daytona 3 Championship USA".
It has been awhile since we have a new Daytona USA arcade since Daytona USA 2 in 1998 (Sega Racing Classic in 2009 kinda counts but without the Daytona name among other stuff).
Anything related to Daytona 3 Championship USA will be posted to this tread.
Anyways, what do you think about Daytona being back in the arcades?

The Daytona USA series is an bonafide arcade (and arguably also a gaming) legend. And it's to add on SEGA's sudden comeback of game releases, this is another high-profile one. Plus, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi confirmed to be returning as music director, yee. But from what I heard Europe will be getting dibs on the game after its test drive at that IAAPA thing and that makes me sad us Americans won't get to experience the new Daytona experience any time soon.
Also, not sold on the clusterfck of the name.

That's a good question.Mikurotoro92 wrote:Wait a minute...how did Sega get the license back?

Special peripherals?Mikurotoro92 wrote:Daytona is nice but I want to see the games that require special peripherals in the arcade!

Also i think that SEGA did pay for the Daytona license since 2009-2010. (Reason why we have Daytona USA in the Xbox 360 and PS3)
(Also i was just guessing there)

They did lose the arcade at one point. They rebranded as Sega Racing Classic in 2009. It looks like they have home console and arcade licensing again though.Mikhail24RD wrote:Special peripherals?
