Elite Dangerous

I picked up Frontier Developments' space flight simulation earlier in the week and I'm really enjoying it. It's the kind of game where time just melts away as I live out my apparent calling of space haulage. Stick on a Spotify playlist, hit the throttle and head to the next star system. It's rad.

My most surprising experience in the game so far has been how friendly and polite everyone has been. I picked it up fully expecting to be constantly under threat from other players engaging in space piracy and generally trying to make life miserable for everyone but themselves, but I've yet to encounter any hassle or anyone who has been anything less than friendly, polite, and courteous.

Perhaps the fact that the majority of the playerbase is likely men in their 40s who played the original on the BBC Micro helps?

Has anyone else played it? Thoughts?
