Graphics on this game look really nice, especially the backgrounds. Shame I can't be arsed with beat 'em ups any more. That might change.

Strange how this is so anticipated. I remember looking around loads of shops to get MvC2 on the DC when it came out and most hadn't even heard of it. Then it came out on the PS2 and Xbox and most magazines gave it shit scores and treated it like some strange relic. Hardly any copies were even printed, Capcom just shoved it out before the licence ran out. When did everyone decide to love it? Street Fighter 4 did a hell of a lot to revitalise interest in this genre.

Well, agreed with our French Bread with assassin tendences above. Even being a fan of Marvel comics, I recognize MvC2 was not a good game. Specially for me, who sucks on fighting games...

I think it's a decent game, I find it funny how every man and his dog now loves it when it hardly sold any copies when it came out. When did everyone play it?

I just remember being a smug git about it when I first had it as I bought a Jap import copy. Im unsure but I think MvC2 might be the first import game I ever bought. I loved it back in the day.

Was that online? I know a few of Capcom's Dreamcast beat 'em ups were, like Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha.

I still think the first game was the best because of the 4 player mode. Hope they put that back in.

I've always loved the whole series and I actually played it in the arcades. Sure it's not the most balanced, but the point is, the game is fun as hell. Also I think that it's not that everyone hated it, it's just that not enough people knew about it, and ever since Street Fighter 4 came out, fighting games have been making a big return.
