Never then. Oh well it was a good idea while it lasted.

Get Rek to do a striptease.

But seriously, it's as simple as really passionate members sticking links in their sigs for other forums and actively mentioning the site. Run simple competitions for active members, run forum games, just be more pro-active in general. Most members here stumbled onto the site by accident and stayed because it's nice (I know I did) so if you can get it out there I'm sure more will come.

Hmm tricky as treating paying members differently will segregate an already small community and potentially alienate newer users. I really like this site/forum so I wouldn't have a problem with paying £2-£5.

Hmm... That's an interesting point. But forcing everyone to pay would be difficult to do.
Giving some privileges to paying members wouldn't be that bad, in my opinion, though.

Okay, maybe the first step is to start a marketing campaign? Hopefully we'll get some sign ups from Summer of Sonic!

I use that in signatures occasionally, but my other main forum doesn't allow sigs. >_<

I saw Mena was busy handing out fliers at SoS, with any luck that'll bring in a few new people.
