yes... I got metroid too. but OMG it's so HARD! AGH! Everywhere it looks the same! SAME THING, just different colours. I thought it would be a good game because I had heard good things about it, I can't even find the long beam. Now I think maybe I should have gotten kirby...

I dont think ive ever heard the word hard and metorid in the sane sentence...Unless its the original one?

The original Metroid has aged poorly and is barely playable now.

Half-Life Opposing Force. Last half-life game i have yet to play! Hear this expansion is really good so im giving it a shot. Now have to wait for HL3

Bingo, it's the original one. And as Reknoc said, it hasn't aged well. It looks exactly the same every single place and some enemies are just hard to shoot.
But oh well... I'll figure out something...

I had the NES version of Metroid as a kid. And it's pretty much why I've barely played another one since.

Your missing out on some great games. The first was not that great but all the ones after are a HUGE improvement

Yep. Super Metroid is still one of my all time favourite games along with Zero Mission.
