The House of the Dead: Overkill [Extended Cut]

Post by Twinny »

Everyone favorite expletive-laden rail gun shooter returns (seemingly in time for Halloween) but this time retooled for the high definition market.

This new take on the original game "The House of the Dead: Overkill" includes brand new levels, even more blood, guts and zombie limbs than the next undead soul, as well a new side story featuring the bombastic sultry Varla Guns! All this in old skool stereoscopic 3D (w/matching red and green cardboard glasses!)

See the (May 27th) press release here.

Check out the the newest trailers below (WARNING: SOME CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR THE SQUEAMISH :P ):

I'd quite like this. I hope they have the frame rate sorted though, as it put me off from getting the Wii version.

I like the new side story, but I hope that the main story gets extended as well.

As for 'HD' Graphics...umm, I don't know, it looks like early PS3/360 graphics and the textures doesn't scream HD to me...

...I still love this game to death though :P (Pun intended)

The game is basically an upscale of the Wii version. It's not the prettiest game on the PS3, but I think that's where some of the charm is.

I wanted this game, but after playing it at Eurogamer I'm not so sure. I don't feel there's enough new content to warrant another purchase.
