found this on IGN (who seem to be getting a rep for bull) but what do people think of this. One of the big 3 just randomly dropping out of the console race?

Wow, this is surprising, never thought I see one of these companies dropping out. Sadly, I'm seeing Sony as the one dropping out. I mean between these two, Microsoft is dominating in consoles as far as total sales for the Xbox 360 are (tho I may be wrong).
Will 2012 be Sony's last year for video games?....only time will tell, I'm afraid...

Bullplop. Sounds to me like these guys are pushing the tale that tradition consoles are dead and that cloud gaming (their business) is the only way forward - thus pushing up their stock price (If they have any). I'm not saying Cloud gaming isn't the way forward, but it's far too soon for it to be the one true path and there is a definite market for tradition consoles for the foreseeable future.Shockerbey wrote:http://uk.games.ign.com/articles/121/1216322p1.html
Ps3 has done better in a shorter period (12 - 15 months out after the 360)mtwinny wrote:Wow, this is surprising, never thought I see one of these companies dropping out. Oh really? I didn't know about that. I'd always figured the 360 would get the leg up on the PS3 in terms of sales after some months...

Year 1 it was behind by a few mil, and year year its gotten closer & closer
Don't forget, the PS3 is massive in Japan and xbox is relatively small in that market, and over in the west its always close calls, but the lead the 360 had will have been smashed with the PS3 price drops

So I got my hands on Steam for Mobile's Beta and...
It's good, even though it's basically the Chat and store capability that's working.
I only hate that the Android version doesn't follow the Android 4.0's design guidelines, so they reskinned most iOS bits into the Android app, but it's still a working app.
