But is it me or does the game look graphically bad? I know the 3DS can do better so why don't they?
Looks fine to me.

I'm thinking about getting a 3DS, as they're $198 here so they're a helluva lot cheaper than a Vita.

What games do think would be worth getting though? So far, I'm thinking of getting LoZ: Ocarina of Time 3D (because fuck yeah, OoT!), Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

And what are the two Resis on there like? Are they any good?

The Nintendo 2DS.

Great idea for kids, especially at the lower price point.

It's obviously not for people who own a 3DS/3DS XL. The masterstroke here, mind you, is the fact that the screens are 3DS sized, so if the 2DS sells shedloads (which, let's face it, it will), Nintendo can then pump out a 2DS XL sometime next year.

The idea itself is quite good, the problem is the design is fucking atrocious even by Nintendo standards. They really should have kept the clamshell design, especially since its for kids.

Nail on the head.

Also...The name might cause confusion. I've dealt with parents shopping for Christmas before.

The design reminds me of mesh between a Leapfrog tablet and an iPad Mini.

This has been a problem with nintendo as of late starting with the 3DS itself and carrying on with the WiiU and now the 2DS.

The thing with the design is, I think, it'll appeal to parents buying them for their kids cause it's less susceptible to break. The hinge thing is an accident waiting to happen when it comes to small kids that couldn't care less about the 3D and just want to take the console to school and play Pokémanz.

On the other hand, it'll probably appeal to non-gamers or casual gamers because of its tablet-like design.

Basically it's like a re-release of the 3DS only tailored for kids? No way these two are different.
