I guess just saying everything would be too easy...
First of all the first things I noticed about the game (Leon story, aka the only campaign anyone cares about) the camera feels off, I dunno if it's too close or if the areas are too small or the characters too large but visibility is poor which makes me wonder why it's even third person. The HUD is ugly and unhelpful. The game is way too dark, I had to crank the brightness to full and still had trouble seeing anything.
Not that it matters since the combat is shite. 4 and even 5 got it right, enemies reacted well to being shot, it was satisfying to shoot a guy in the leg and run over to uppercut or suplex or whatever them. Enemies barely react in this, I felt no reason not to just fill them with bullets.
I played the Chris campaign for a few minutes but it was too offensive to carry on with.
edit: oh I also got to one of those co-op doors and had to wait for the AI to not be stuck behind a lamp post. good design.
it's pretty depressing to think that i can only get a good resident evil experience from a handheld game.
