I cant be the only person thinking they are cray for wanting a good story in a SONIC ggame xDSonic is for kids SINCE 2007, and that's exactly my problem with the series. And you forget people who are fan of the SA era it's not only about Genesis era VS modern games sir.Me:Sonic is for anyone who enjoys the gameplay.Person: my opinion as a fan is to enjoy the series for all it is, including the tone the story, the art direction etc. And since we are equally fans my opinion worth as much as yours. Still if you only care about the gameplay you wouldn't mind a game with a good gameplay with a story and tone SA fans could like. As my pal Roger always says: ''I almost get the weird idea that everyone likes sonic for different reasons and balance would be the solution crazy, I know.''

This just happened on the summer of sonic Facebook page. Found here under the guy complaining about the exclusivity (and made an image to enlarge his point)

Personally I believe the Sonic stories need to just get a bit darker again. Not as horrible as 06 but still the sonic games now have no element of darkness in them. I can feel with the guy cause the Sonic Adventure games had a great story as it was the right amount of darkness and mistery. Plus it actually had an arc to follow where now all sonic games have their own story. Not that that's bad... but there's something that I really loved about the Sonic adventure era. Especially the Sonic Arc (SA2-SHtH)

As in a playable character no, but he would probably fly Sonic to Lost Hex.Dr Shaneman wrote:Doesn't look like Tails will feature in this game as of yet.
Unleashed had its dark elements too, but it mixed in with the lightheartedness well I feel.Quills on Wheels wrote:Personally I believe the Sonic stories need to just get a bit darker again. And ShtH's story was 'dark', but it was the epitome of doing it wrong.

I do think they built up the world disasters better in the Adventure games.Quills on Wheels wrote:Personally I believe the Sonic stories need to just get a bit darker again. So you would want each Sonic game contained in its own plot with no mention of games prior and such? Like the connection from Colors and Generations?Quills on Wheels wrote:Woops hehe people I meant the SHADOW Arc. Silly me. But yeah, I can't help but really dislike the episodic stories we get nowadays.
That inner fanboy needs to chill out.Or maybe it's just my inner fanboy screaming that he wants a fucking Sonic Adventure 3 already.

No I want a Sonic game with a much more serious story then colors that spends throughout a couple of games like an arc. Again, like the shadow arc which started with Adventure 2 and ended with Shadow the Hedgehog. Granted, shadow the hedgehog wasn't a great conclusion to the Shadow saga but it was still nice having Sonic game where it focuses on a development of a character or something for serious.mtwinny wrote:So you would want each Sonic game contained in its own plot with no mention of games prior and such? Trust me, you have no idea how tempting the idea of playing a Sonic Adventure game with modern graphics would be. Not that I'm pissed or anything. It's just a wish I had within me.mtwinny wrote:That inner fanboy needs to chill out.
