Crazy taxi HD

Post by richarddavies »

Carzy taxi has been confirmed for release on the 24th of November on XBLA and PSN. It's also going to have full widescreen support so it's the first Dreamcast game on modrn consoles that won't have borders unlike Sonic adventure. Hope they keep that up with any future release's. God I hope they do Jet set in full screen HD.

Anyone thinking of getting it?

Well, even before Sonic 4 gets released, I'm glad to say.. It's a date!

I'm thinking on getting it too, haven't played it in a good long time, unfortunately. But no brders and HD port, omaigod. :D

Put me down too. It's definitely stood the test of time. Shame they had to cut the Offspring music though.

Makes you wonder if 2 and 3 will make the jump as well...

I'm getting this one for sure!
Crazy Taxi is still running in my DC every now and then. This is sort of a timeless game because the fun factor is so high.

Crazy Taxi 3...probably not, seeing as though it's an Xbox game. It's probably backwards compatible though if you can find it!

I might get Crazy Taxi. If SEGA give me it for review then I'll give it a whirl, but if not I'm a bit undecided. Good as the game may be, the lack of Offspring and the fact that it gets old REALLY quickly might turn me off.

Still liking the idea of Dreamcast games for 800 MSP though. Nice pricing.

I really hope it is - I know that JSRF and Panzer Dragoon Orta are, but I don't know about Crazy Taxi 3. I should check...

Does anybody know what the achievements/trophies are going to be?

I'm not really sure whether to get it. As Gavvie says, 800 for Dreamcast games is a bargain price, I'm hoping they stick with it (Although longer games really deserve 1200 in my mind) but yeah, the gameplay does get old quickly. I suppose it's not bad as an arcade game, since you can load it up and play it without effort, so it would be great for those random bursts of gameplay.. But there are better Dreamcast games I would sooner save my money for.
