@Biggest Sonic Fan: How many DS RPG's have you played?

Anyway. Sands of Destruction was okay. Not the best but I thought it was pretty cool.

Sonic Chronicles was OK. There's a reason there won't be a sequel, mind.

As far as SEGA RPGs go, there are loads better. Skies of Arcadia is particularly amazing, whether you go for it on DC or Gamecube. There was actually a special edition I wanted, it looked amazing but I never had enough finances for it. Shame really.

The Phantasy Star series was amazing in the 16 bit era too. And Shining Force is the shit too. And Shining The Holy Ark..pretty much any game in the Shining series.

Not too sure about Shining. There's a few games I liked, but I never really got into them. Really struggle to get into RPGs these days, I think I've gone off the initial grind to make your characters half decent.

I'm not much into RPG's either, but this is an RPG topic. o_o

I like Shining Force alot because I really enjoy Fire Emblem. Pretty much the only RPG I can get into these days.

SEGA RPG's? My favorite has to be Skies of Arcadia. I spent so many hours on that game, and played it over a few times. I just love it, they should really bring it back. Love how some characters made a few cameos in Valkyria Chronicles

Em.... I better now answer that...

Ok, maybe not one of THE best but it was a pretty good RPG game. And when you think about it, it was a very good for Sonic's first step into RPG. I mean don't most games suck when they try something new? Well Sonic's first Step into RPG was a success.
I am not much into RPGs anyway. I always lose and than, I stress out. So I better maybe stick out of this.

The better question would be how many RPGs have you played?

Sonic DB wasn't a good RPG though, in just about every area it could fail at it did. The combat mechanics were annoying, the dialog awful and the world design was really bad.

The first Mario RPG was also handeled by a third party developer known for their RPGs at the time. I guess the difference is Square was awesome back then and Bioware actually aren't all that good.

Yeah, Super Mario RPG was pretty good, especially as the humour wasn't lost in translation. I don't think there'll be many Mario games where one of the characters will exclaim "Bugger".

And Sonic's first RPG wasn't a success. If it was, we'd be eagerly awaiting a sequel. As it stands, it was alright as a game, but pretty poor as anything else.

I have to admit, much as I've wanted to for ages, I've never played Valkyria Chronicles. Been trying to find somewhere that're selling it cheap, and everywhere seems to be out of stock :(
