No because Metroid is not an FPS franchise and only had 1 fully FPS game.

Prime: Hunters is the only one I would consider a FPS.

The main Prime trilogy are just Metroid in a first person perspective, it's all about exploring, finding upgrades and exploring some more with shooting taking a backseat since it doesn't really matter. It's so unimportant that it's practically automatic.
Prime: Hunters is more like a corridor run shooter tech demo for the DS.
Edit: Thief is a good example. It's first person and you can shoot but it's not a FPS.

So do you mean if the game play isn't 100% in FPS than it's not an FPS game?

I mean the shooting has to be the primary focus and not just a thing shoehorned in so the game can have enemies.
Edit: Mirror's Edge is another good example.
