Well, I don't have a Wii or DS, so I can't play Colours, but I do have a PS3, so I could try out Unleashed.
It was in Sonic & Knuckles my friend.

In addition to the answers above, I believe SEGA said they wanted this game to be 'special', so it had to be on the PS3/360...correct me if I'm wrong.

More specifically Sonic Team , and by the looks of it, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 did prety well for thier time (Granted, most of the production for those games went to thier USA division I believe). It was after that where the quality declined.
And I liked 3D Blast...just never got into it.
And I may sound stupid here, but I'm sure you didn't start the curse...

Course I did, I dumped Sonic after 3D Blast and came back for the Olympics

I kicked butt in Sonic 1, I was DETERMINED to get that dang Hidden Palace in Sonic 2,squealed at Sonic 3 and thought Ice Cap Zone & Marble Garden Zone where the best!! scared to death of Sonic Spin ball but somehow I could always beat it. Sonic & Knuckles was awesome ,Sonic 3 and Knuckles was just da best! I LOVE Sandopolis and Flying Battery! But the Olympics require....more well...strategy. With the Genesis games it was not blinking or breathing. And thats what the games taught me.
Oh and Walmart informed me they are SOLD OUT of this game, due to popularity. *Many hugs to Nintendo & Sega*
