I would imagine so. It's not actually something I've looked on eBay for...mainly because I don't want to end up with some bootlegs :(

Actually - looking now. Going rate seems to be somewhere in the region of £60-80, depending on the collection.

Manga of the Week

Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro
Image

Author/Artist: Yusei Matsui
Status: Finished (23 Volumes)
Updates: N/A (was weekly)
Licensed: No (too old now, too good for Viz to have bothered with)

The Demon Neuro has a raging hunger for ‘mysteries.’ Being dissatisfied with his current regime in hell, he’s come into the mortal realm in order to satiate his ever-growing appetite. The murder case of a young girl’s father seems to be sufficiently enticing for the Demon’s needs.. But what else might happen between these two? Find out in this disturbingly good murder-mystery series.

This is one of the few manga I've ever bothered to actually finish. Previously Matsui worked as an assistant on Bobobo which, if you've ever experienced, could give you an idea about his work. It's certainly quite weird especially when a mystery is solved. It's a fun mystery series, of which there don't seem to be many, though it gets a little battely towards the end. The art is quite, hm, bad but I like it and I find it adds to the bizarreness of the series.

oh and for BSF

I think you've mentioned Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro previously...

Watched the first episode of Aku no Hana. It was pretty weird, but it prompted me to read through all the available chapters. It's a pretty weird series, but around the late 30s it has a timeskip and gets mega boring.

I've come to realize that time skips are risky in anime.

They either make it often really good (Gurren Lagann) or just a complete waste (Sword Art Online).

If they work, they can make the anime pretty damn good, like Gurren Lagann for example. But often, the make the anime incomplete and just plain stupid(*cough*Sword Art Online*cough*).

They're not that risky. Sword Art Online is a bad example because that was a fetid piece of shit from the start.
