I don't get why this is a thing to be honest. This isn't even close to the same situation as Bayonetta. A new sonic game was going to be released regardless. Nobody gains from this, I doubt Sonic is a system seller for Nintendo, and releasing it only on the Wii U guarantees awful sales for SEGA.

I'm guessing it helps them financially in other ways. Such as Nintendo handling a lot of the distributions and such.

Well, I made the mistake of buying the original Wii just for 1 or 2 games that were exclusive to it.
Sold it not long after.

I doubt that would make up for selling the home console version exclusively on a system no one owns.

Give SEGA a break. They finally started getting some money with Colonal Marines and ASRT. Let them waste it a bit before they go back to being the cash cows we know.

No hope in that case then. Colonial marines was a disaster! Also, SEGA cant afford to waste money atm, esspically with them having to shut studios down

If they wanted to waste money they should do it by localizing Yakuza 5 or making a new IP. There's no good reason for them to squander one of the few IPs they have that has any worldwide appeal.

Well, 3.5 million units have shipped worldwide for the Wii U according to reports (supposedly). Whether or not you deem that as being good enough or more units will be increased by twice that amount now that there's three Sonic games exclusive to Nintendo consoles remains to be seen.

I have a 3DS, so I'll get the game on that system.
