I wouldn't call holding a stick in one direction occasionally nudging it from side to side and keeping a button pressed playing a game. More like stimulating it. Basically it's the equivalent of sticking your finger up it's ass while it plays with itself.

You do more than move the analogue stick a few times and mash a button once or twice.

Plus, it's my opinion. It did not call for a sick analogy that gave me a bad image I'll have a hard time erasing from my mind.

Thanks a lot. /sarcasm

I should post the "Welcome to the Internet" pic, but I'm too mad to do so.

Also noted, when I'm mad, I start giving out warnings faster than a lightning. Best be staying on topic.

You're welcome.

Anyway let us not dwell on how shit the 3D sections will be and let's look at the mistakes of the past which may be repeated here.

Uneven spread of the good levels and the bad levels:

What crazy people want: 50/50
What sane people want: 75% Classic 25% Current
What I want: 99% Classic 1% Menus.
What SEGA is likely to give us considering past games 90% Current 10% Classic.

To be fair SEGA didn't do this in Colours... Probably because they couldn't. But the majority of Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 2006 and Sonic Unleashed were the shitty stages no one wanted to play instead of the Sonic stages (except in 2006 where all the stages sucked). Though if they go for the both Sonics have the same stages thing it looks like they're doing it might not be so bad and will be down to how long each level lasts.

The good stuff will be locked behind stupid collectables no one cares about:

From the screenshots it looks like red rings are in or at least something similar. Are they going to be equally as fun to look for? Will the best part of the game be locked until you get them all? Will the rest of the game be locked until you get enough? There's no way to know at this point, so I'm just gonna say both.

Bosses are going to be shit:

I can't even think of an argument against this. Sonic Colours bosses were pretty bad. Maybe if both Sonics have a boss then Classic will be the saving grace.

Edit: Let's even it out a little.

The game probably won't be only 4 hours long:

Which is good because it's probably going to cost £40.

Likely to be more than 3 different bosses despite there being a whole bunch of zones:

Probably thanks to classic sonic.

Sonic Unleashed didn't play itself, otherwise stages like Holoska and Adabat would actually be easy. They take the 'twitch' gameplay to the highest possible level, so you're talking bollocks there Reknoc. Hell, the classic 2D games are probably more 'hold right to win' than the actual 3D gameplay is.

Fact is, some people enjoy 3D Sonic, myself included. Sonic Generations will have the best of both worlds, end of.

Clearly Sonic games are not for you.

Thank you for pointing that out Capn. I was beginning to think I was the only one here who actually liked modern Sonic (besides BSF).

Yeah, it'll be the best of both. That's why I'm so excited. The classic games bore me after a few zones, but the classic levels here look like something I will actually enjoy. I know I will like both this time.

I wouldn't worry too much ShadowPhantom. Reknoc has always had an adamant sense of loathing for MOST modern Sonic games. I like both the modern and classic styles for Sonic gameplay. This game will have both, and will be even, so it's fine by me.

Let us celebrate 20 years of fighting over nothing ;D.

To be honest, I kinda like the Sonic Adventure games just a little bit more than the classic sonic games. I don't perhaps it was because I was born in that Gen but even so, I kind prefer the SA games. Of course I'm really looking forward to this.
Though I am kinda worried. Anniversary games have Special Anniversary Packs. I am thinking that there will be a Sonic 20th anniversary pack like the 15th sonic anniversary pack RARE thing in that SEGA Ebey thing. I am worried that it might not come to Australia because I really want one. And second, even if it does come, It'll probably be about $200 or something and even if I collect the money all by myself, I don't think my parents will let me spend 200 dollars on a statue, box, certificate and other stuff.

See?! You guys just want this game to suck. First of, you said that you will not be satisfied until you see some gameplay videos. They came and looked great. Still you deny to accept and now you say that you wont be satisfied until you play Demo. What's next? You wont be satisfied until you see the game itself? Seriously, your not willing to give the game a single chance and keep acting like your not satisfied. If your not satisfied, than why are you even a Sonic fan? Because I am sure that nothing that Sonic will give you today will be satisfying to you. Just go back to your home and play those old 2D games and stick with the past. Don't start new. Just stick with your past.

Nobody wants the game to suck. Once bitten twice shy and all that. The Classic stuff does look good, but even Sonic 4... hahaha no sorry I can't keep a straight face while saying that...

haaaah... yea it needs a demo.
