Good question, I mean... They're 16-bit games. All you can do is add a bit of smoothing to it and there's not a lot else really.

They weren't.

Irregardless I doubt SEGA are taking these down from VC console due to a "lack of interest".

Sorry to break this discussion on the SEGA/Wii story but here is something that certain fans for a certain country will enjoy...

It appears a new SEGA-based entity is about to appear in the land of Dubai with the announcement of the SEGA Republic Game Zone, reports business site TradeArabia. The new place, created with the teamwork of the SEGA Corporation, is about 3,600 sq ft and going to have it's grand opening within the country's own Dubai Marina Mall in the next couple of months, more specifically the "entertainment and leisure section" of the shopping complex, says the owner of the place, Emaar Retail. This after a successful launch of the first indoor theme park, the SEGA Rupublic, inside of the said mall.

The CEO of Emaar Retail, Arif Amiri speaks on the announcement:
“Emaar Retail is further strengthening the leisure sector of Dubai. The expansion of the Sega brand to Dubai Marina Mall also highlights the growth outlook of the company to strengthen its leisure portfolio, and the value we bring to our business partnerships.”
The website goes on to say that this new area will set out to "entertain all sections of visitors, particularly the youth," with its array of activities and huge roster of SEGA game titles.

Any SEGA fans from Dubai excited for the new arrival? Or those from other parts of the world speculating with what this new SEGA Republic Game Zone might hold?

I didn't think RadioSEGA had any members from the UAE.

Hmmm... I was trying to convince my parents to take us to Dubai for this holiday.

I think I might way for another year so this place is built so THEN I can go to the SEGA republic with it's new extension.

I'm surprised they can even afford something like that. Sammy must be pretty profitable.

We're not rich but we don't have a money issue either. Every year or so, we go to some place for a few days with my mum and dad, whether it is some place in Australia or a new country in general.

EDIT: Oh goody. My 3000th post.

Weeeeeeee!!!

Nono, BSF, Reknoc was commenting that he didn't think SEGA could afford to set up this "SEGA Republic Game Zone", thus he came to the conclusion that SEGA's parent company - Sammy Cooperation - must be pretty profitable. He didn't think that your parents couldn't afford the trip to Dubai.
