Today, I came to the realisation that I'd have to move back to my parents house, after my landlord basically accused me of lying and not cleaning the house for when the estate agents came around.
Truth of the matter is, I was up for nearly 2 hours before going to work to clean the house, and everything he found fault with was basically nit-picky stuff that he either knew I wasn't able to do anything about, or something that was easily fixed within around 5 seconds.
All of this comes a week after he'd basically declared me the perfect tenant after wandering around the house to see if it was in tip-top shape. Yeah...

Yeah, well he's had to put it back on the market, so the estate agents were coming around today to value it and take photos.
Apparently...the bed wasn't made, the toilet was dirty, there's mould on the windows (there isn't, it's just a little bit of dust that I missed), and other little niggles that he had no problem with a week ago.
It's fine for me, to be honest. Whilst I don't exactly want to move from a 2 bedroomed semi back into my old bedroom, it does free up around £500 a month on rent and bills and such, and gives me the freedom to look around for a place that might suit my needs (and my wallet) a bit better. Especially helpful when I'm starting to look towards a move down to London.

Richard is spot on there, I have a similar story from when I was at uni. Turns out you have loads of rights when it come to being a tenant.
An extra £500 a month is awesome, although moving and renting in London is big bucks.
Today I had the best curry I'd ever had. I will never be the same again...

Yeah, renting can be a nightmare like that, which is why the hubby and I are desperately trying to save up a deposit for a house. 7k+ is a crazy amount of money to need to get on the property ladder, especially in this economic climate, but we've been married almost seven years now and don't have a place of our own, so it's about time we finally sort ourselves out and start saving.
The last place we rented was a bit of a nightmare, before that we lived with my in-laws. The place we're in now is lovely, within walking distance to Uni and town, but it's expensive, and we would have had to move out if we didn't find another housemate, but luckily we managed to find someone who will be moving in this Sept, so that'll help us save, at least
Hopefully by next year we'll actually own somewhere we can destroy/decorate!

Had a chill birthday today. Also had a Calculus test today, during which the teacher interrupted us to sing happy birthday (as he always does for anyone's birthday). Friends and I planned a potluck for lunch (very Asian orientated, 'cause all my friends are Asian. Sooo much rice.). Then we sung happy birthday again in Physics (in any language you want. I think I heard it in Spanish and French.) Then hung out with friends at Best Buy ('cause that's how we roll
) and then I went home. Party plans are gonna happen next weekend because nobody is free (which sucks).
I think I've got enough parentheses in there.

Went to Knowsley safari park with the missus and kids today. Checked out all the animals and watched a sealion show. We where worried when we went through the Baboon enclosure they were going to rip the car up but the jump on every car in the queue except ours. I wasn't sure whether I was relieved or insulted they wouldn't go near us.
