I need new glasses as well, been using the same since like 3 or 4 years now, and I'm starting to hardly see anything with em on (let alone off, haha). But glasses are so damn expensive.
Also, I'll definitely not get another one of those thick plastic frames, I'll probably grab a slim metal frame this time around, will make wearing headphones and general daily wearing of these things much more comfortable.

I started wearing glasses earlier this year. I finally got pressured by my fiancee to actually get my eyes checked, and I found I was actually short sighted and having shit eyes wasn't normal
I got two pairs (buy one, get one free - £125 cost overall) - one pair has smaller lenses and thin frames, which I wear for work as they're ridiculously light and easy to wear. For the free pair I got myself some thick frames :D

Well I was just surprised to see a person who has been in RS for less than a year to become Admin(Or "half admin" if you say it). Than again, your joining Date IS a year ago...whooa21 wrote:I mean why would it be a joke?
Honestly, I don't know why I just thought this to be strange. Don't worry. Again, congrats.

Does Clarkson still do those videos about cars every year and do people still buy them? You know the ones where he drives a ferrari off a cliff or races a tractor against a cheetah. they used to be an annual event for all the nuts reading trogs, like the way all nerds eagerly await the new comic book film. Haven't heard of them in a while tough. I might ask a few people at the pub next time I'm there, they seem like the type that would know. I'll just slip in 'you got the new clarkson video me old fruit?' and try and blag it from there that I have it. I reckon I could get by without having seen it, I doubt the formula has changed much. At best he might have added some anti save the environment agenda by slagging off an electric car or making a woman drive one then beating it in a race against one of those old citroen egg farmer cars.
I had a friend that had a stack of the things in his room at one point. Some relative would buy him one for every birthday. He didn't even like cars that much, but his aunty, or whoever, must have thought that's the sort of thing that lads of that age are into. I bet that's how he sold so many. Maybe no-one really likes the things that much, but they are an inoffensive present for someone you don't know that well. Like a bottle of australian rose for your mate's girlfriend. Actually nah clarkson is always offensive, cant be that.
I'm ill and just had to blow my nose on a old sock because I've ran out of tissue. That was grim.

Maybe I should buy my Dad one then. He didn't get me anything for crimbo last year, so I've got to do something even worse than that.Kaito-kun wrote:I think they tend to come out around Father's Day or in time for Christmas. There's usually an ad or two around those times of year. It is a mystery as to how the sell though, I mean...Dave is on Freeview. Why not just watch the same nonsense in the endless Top Gear repeats?
