Hyrule Historia materialised at the branch of Waterstones in Carlisle today. So I nabbed it. I'm a sucker for concept art. Happy Kaito.

Yea same, looks like they've done another printing since both comic stores here were advertising it as well (okay there's 3 stores but the other one is so out of the way I never go). Skimming through reminds me just how much character the 3D Zelda games have, even if they aren't the best mechanically.

Well, I finally took my first plunge into retro gaming with my purchase of a Sega MD and a handful of games off eBay. The games were mostly duplicates though. I now have 3 copies of Sonic 1, 2 copies of DeCap Attack and, rather nicely, a Sonic and Knuckles cart. Time for all my money earned to go into this...sigh...

Why didn't you buy games that you don't already own?

The games weren't mentioned on the listing, they just came in the package it was sent in.

I went through a phase of only buying games based on the cover and what they said on the back. Because I'd read the blurb on the back occasionally once I'd bought the game and think 'does this stuff ever actually convince anyone? Who writes it? Must be the most pointless job ever'. Then decided to see if it was actually a good way of judging quality. Thought it would be rouletto chanco, but it worked. Most games I bought were really fun. Meant I could give up reading shit games magazines like GamesTM too. Did end up with a few odd ones like Demolition Girl and Michigan: Report From Hell. But it was a much more interesting phase of gaming for me than just buying whatever had this month's paid for hype. Still basically go by that method now in fact.

Seriously, try it. Don't read anything about games and just buy whatever sounds like the best laugh from the box. Stood me in good stead for at least 6 years now.
Tic Tac, sir?

Well I definitely didn't think I'd go out and buy 6 Playstation games today XD

I gone and got myself Sly Cooper Thieves in Times for PS Vita, TEKKEN 2 for PS1, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue and Jack and Daxter: The precursor Legacy for PS2 and Burnout Dominator for PSP ^___^ So lots of Playstation over the weekend for me :) .

I did go out to look for a MEGA CD MODEL 2 but that failed :(

I'm quite interested in Dragon's Dogma now that the expansion is out. Might have to look into Deadly Premonition as well.

Went on a Persona binge..to a fashion. Bought Persona 4 Golden & preordered Persona 4 Arena. First time playing a game from the series, so hopefully I'll enjoy it ^_^
