To be perfectly honest, I really like sonic, so I got the game. I am only at the 2nd world, so I thought the gameplay is amazing, the graphics are amazing, the music i'm not a huge fan of, but I am gutted to say I can't stand sonic and tail's voice in this game. I'm sure the story is intresting, but because of the voice acting and the way he talks, I just skip the cutscenes. I know not many will agree with me on this, but I am intitled to my own opinion. But I still think so far it's being a brilliant game.
I've finally got round to playing it too!
And it sucks. Worst Sonic game ever.
>_>

Nah, course it's AWESOME~! I love everything about this game. They've taken the hedgehog engine and really improved it, Sonic feels less slippy, there is more slower platforming sections, and there are a number of smaller changes that make the game much more accessible, such as highlighting when you're near a bottomless pit. I'm glad that the water sections of Aquarium Park were included as well, as the 'running on water' bits of Unleashed got bloody annoying if you fell under, plus it's nice to have some potential drowning back. The Wisps are great too and don't feel like a gimmick.
The graphics are fantastic, really colourful, but I feel like the Wii lets it down. It can be hard to keep track of what is going on sometimes, and it would really benefit from the ol' HD treatment.
I can't fault the soundtrack either. It's not as varied as Unleashed was, but it's really good on its own merit.
The voice acting will take some getting used to. Tails voice is absolutely spot on, but Sonic feels like he's just entered puberty. It's not that bad though and the cut-scenes are actually pretty good. Sonic has more of an attitude, as others have been discussing in the thread, and that's a good thing.
So yeah.. Well done Sega!
