When I was little I loved digimon and even created paper dolls of the characters. I also did some for Kids Next Door and Harry Potter. That was one epic crossover.

Digimon was based on the whole tamagotchi craze back in the day. Nothing like pokemon imo. In fact its better imo.

That didn't stop people from comparing it to Pokemon in the day.

I always thought that viewers simply comparing it to Pokemon naturally killed off.
Thinking it was too much of a cheap rip-off.
Then again they originally said that about Yu-Gi-Oh and that kept going so I'm probably wrong.
