I was hoping for a Sonic game that wasn't based on Sonic. Shadow, when I first saw him, was a dark character and much more "Get out of my face" than Sonic. Shadow the Hedgehog was a great idea and I love it. I know people will say stuff like "Shadow sucks, make Sonic Heroes 2!" or some crap like that, but I own Sonic Heroes and I, first of all, got somewhat bored of it, especially since you need to collect all the chaos emeralds to fight Metal Sonic. The gun was a big surprise in the Sonic universe and a big improvement personally. I wonder if you get to fight the Sonic Team if Shadow's evil and if you get to beat the yoke out of Eggman if Shadow's good. GO SHADOW!!!!!!!

Quite a few reviews have mentioned the bugs in shadow on the PS2. So its not only your copy. Its the actual in game bugs.

My final score for this game is a 10/10. Sure, some of the voice acting sucks, the in-game graphics are blah, and the multiplayer is really bad. But, if you get past those annoyances, this game rules. It's a hip, modern-day, thought-provoking actioner with a final ending that will truly surprise you.
Well, guys, gotta run. I have lots of other stuff to do. But you can bet that I'll be back.
CHAOS… CONTROL!!!

¬_¬.....you're having a field day with this, aren't you?

Played it on the PS2. Was on the average side. Never really found a specific problem with it. The guns were a little hard to adjust to, and the platforming was weird at times.
It's not a bad game, but they could have done better.

I've got Shadow the Hedgehog on the Gamecube. Whilst I wouldn't say it was bad, it's not exactly on the right side of average either.

What I'm trying to say is this: There is a good game there, 5% of the time. The other 95% of the time, you're constantly reminded that this was what was regarded at the time as SEGA/Sonic Team's best attempt at a third person shooter, using a franchise that was never intended for that genre, and a character that nobody even wanted.

The fact that SEGA/Sonic Team thought Shadow the Hedgehog was good enough to warrant the inclusion of Shadow's shooting sections in Sonic 06 is beyond me.

So yeah. 4/5 may be your personal opinion, and you're more than entitled to it, but if you take a step back and look at all of the pieces of the puzzle, you'll soon notice that it's actually pretty piss poor...but not as bad as Sonic 06.

It might sound fin. But with the amount of time it takes to finsh a level in shadow and then you fall through the map and have to redo it all again will result in rage.

You know what pissed me off most is that no matter what side you're on, both the damn alien creatures and humans will attack you when you're trying to do the stupid missions. I loved the moments when you could use Chaos Blast and Chaos Control though.

I rarely used Chaos Control because unless you are doing the normal mission you will miss your whole damn objective.

But you know, The Doomed Shadow Show tells all the flaws in a good and funny way. I am pretty sure you have watched it. If not, do it now.
