Surprised they bet 24 million to obtain Relic personally...I thought they could have got them at around 20 million since all the others have been taken up with far less money.

Well Relic and Volition went for roughly the same amount, Relic are probably the stronger of the two studios since Red Faction Armageddon did really poorly. Both were THQ's best assets.

The higher price may also indicate the 40k license went with them but considering the brouha South Park studios is making and that the WWE pulled out I'm surprised Games Workshop didn't do similar.

edit: Winning bidder: Sega, $26.6 million.Runner-up: Zenimax Media, $26.3 million.

Yeah, in the article posted on here about the Relic thing, Sammy has quite the money held up, reportedly $2 Million according to Yahoo! Finance.

Oddly enough, an American billion (one hundred million or 100,000,000) is smaller than a British billion (1,000,000,000). You'd think it would be the other way around, wouldn't you?
