Marine made her first (And hopefully last) appearance in Sonic Rush Adventure.

She offered nothing to the plot and only served to be annoying and get in Sonic & Blazes way, hell even blaze pointed this out at one point. She was also a very stereotypical Austraillian with all the CRIKEY and CORE BLIEMY to go with it.

For the record, we Aussies do NOT act this way, nor do we say "Crikey" or "Core Bliemy"(really? lol). If Marine was really trying to depict Australians, she'd be sleeping in the bush instead of a house and probably wrestle a crocodile every time you talk to her.

Is that some place across the pond, or a Sanic jab?

Thank you! That's the only answer I needed.

Sounds to me like she's trying to sound like a cockney.

She was definitely supposed to be Australian. Don't remember any Cor Blimeys (for them see Yangus in Dragon Quest 8) but a lot of crikeys and maybe a few examples of Wonga or Barbies.

oh the wiki says:
She speaks with an exaggerated Australian accent, using Australian slang words such as 'strewth', 'bonza' and 'cobber' and adding the word 'mate' to the end of her sentences.

Home and Away will always have a special place in my heart for being a soap that had a crazy cult story arc.
