Why would Namco and sponsers want to pay to help Capcom make games?

I was thinking more Mega Man 9 & 10. Sold poorly considering, but the fans lapped them up and seemed to enjoy them. Quite why Capcom can't do the same with AA is beyond me.
Well, here's hoping AA HD gets an Android release over here, I'll gladly take that, despite owning them on DS already

The AA games cost much more for them to publish than the new Megamans did. Though I have no idea why it took them so long to decided to put the other 2 games on iOS.

So Double Fine, makers of Psychonauts and some other games that aren't Psychonauts, decided to set up a kickstarter for people to fund a new old school adventure game made by them:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/667 ... -adventure
Turns out it was something of a success, not only did they manage to make the target of $400k within 8 hours, they are now over $1million.
With the industry punishing any sort of creativity nowadays, this could be a fantastic opportunity for devs to make more interesting games.

Really interesting to read, Double Fine has been one of the few game developers that didn't sucumb to the fail of the current video game industry.
Great chance for interaction with devs and fans.

I'm not sure if that's true, Double Fine have basically been using family friendly Kinect games as life support for a while now.

Oh wow, really? Don't give two craps about Kinect...so I'll just take back what I said then. Thanks man, didn't figure that out.

It's not too bad since they're successful enough to fund games like Stacking and Iron Brigade (Trenched).

True, but even as "Family Friendly Kinect games" they're supposedly very good for what they are and the market their aiming for.

Iron Brigade is one of theirs? I may investigate.
