I finally made it to sign up here ^_^
I am sure some of you have seen me before around on the IRC or Twitter.

So, what can i say to introduce myself?
My journey with SEGA began back when i was 4. World was at war. The console wars!
On christmas, my only wish from Santa was a video game console.
I don't know how that happened but here in Germany everyone was Nintendo.
But my dad got me a SEGA Mega Drive II bundle with Sonic 2 and Mega Games!

Until today i simply enjoy playing and collecting :SEGA: games....
Welcome aboard chap! :)
Hope you enjoy the community here and I look forward to seein' ya around.

Might as well post here too considering I'm still relatively wet behind the ears when it comes to RadioSega and it's website...

Typical almost-30 years old lurker of the Sonic/Sega fandom; play games, listen to music, get nostalgic...

Around the time I first went on the internets when it was all about dial-up (about age 12 back in the early 90s) I used to run a fan site for Sonic (mainly SatAM/Archie comics inspired though I did collect a lot of the STC comics and watch AoStH) and my own "inspired-by" characters. Drew fanart, wrote fan fiction... blah blah blah... then the site came down as my school exams started and my enthusiasm for drawing dwindled (won't go into too much detail). I joined Sonic Verse Team for a tiny bit but only produced one comic before getting overwhelmed with... stuff.

Life happens, y'know?

I joined RadioSega because I was looking to rekindle my love for Sega more than I have managed to on my own for past decade. I still pretty much own all my childhood consoles (even got my Game Gear refurbished so I could play it again; though my family's original collection was stolen back in my teens so I'm slowly buying them again). Speaking of consoles, these days I'm not investing much money in the latest stuff. I mainly have a Nintendo DS, an original wii and Steam/Desura on PC and that seems enough for me personally. I have no interest in getting the latest PS, xbox or wii and I don't know if this will ever change since I have other higher priorities in my life than keeping up with those sorts of luxury good trends and buying every version of the same thing (no offence to the great collectors out there though; much respect considering I love collecting graphic novels/comics). I have not found much joy in the latest Sonic games; Sonic X makes me cringe... I have some interest in Sonic Boom (more the show than the games) but I'm reserving judgement until I know more.

I'll stop now. I'm really not good at knowing when I should LOL.

TL;DR?

I'm an Arcades, Animation, Art, Games & Retro Enthusiast who likes Sega music. RadioSega FTW!

Hi guys!
I've been meaning to sign up for a while, and seeing the poll for Oct. 13th's RSTop40 finally got my bum in gear!
I've been doing the hastagings at RadioSEGA on Twitter as @retroryan67 (now @Bubblegum_Beat) so I might already be familiar to some of you outside of the forums.

My earliest SEGA memories are from the mid '90s, when I started noticing arcade machines. The first machine to ever catch my heart was a 4-car Daytona USA deluxe setup at Walt Disney World; which had its own corner, display, and a huge queue of people. The first video game I ever beat was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the Gamecube, and whether I realized it then or not, I've been a die-hard SEGA fan ever since.

My favorite console of all-time is the SEGA Saturn and I love early (especially 32-bit) polygon-based games. Some of my favorite games include Burning Rangers, Sonic the Fighters, Sonic R, NiGHTs, Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn), Samba de Amigo, Chu Chu Rocket, SA 2, Jet Set Radio, Out Run, and Daytona USA, to name a few. ;) I'm also a big pre-'80s arcade/pinball fan, a classic anime fan (especially Lupin III and Leiji Matsumoto), and a classic car guy.

A little personal tid-bit: reading about SEGA's marketing and business aspects for many years drove me to pursue a major in International Business (and a minor in languages).

I hope to be an active and familiar member on the RadioSEGA forums, and maybe even promote the site at events here in Georgia! Thanks guys (and gals)!

Where do you play the old pinballs? I used to play pinball as a kid but it was always stuff like black knight or addams family. Now you're lucky to find any tables though.
Tic Tac, sir?
